“SG Junior (senior)”
This 24-fret SG style guitar marries elements of the SG junior with elements of a classic SG, this custom one of a kind guitar is used regularly for gigging by Paul. It has a mahogany neck and body with a sycamore top and bubinga fretboard, the inlays are made using copper pipe section and mother of pearl effect dots. It has a Creamery custom ‘13 dogear P-90, Gotoh wrap-around bridge and tuners, nickel frets and oversized amplifier knobs. The neck is joined to the body using a mortice and tenon joint which allows for a smooth transition between pieces and making the neck and body feel as if they are one piece of wood. The flamed sycamore top has been stained on the top but not on the chamfer to give the three stripe effect with the mahogany of the body forming the third stripe, finished with a thin coat of polyurethane. It has a lovely low action, sounds really chunky and has very minimal neck-dive which is always a plus with an SG.
“The Void Bass”
This bass was made to an entirely custom design for Samuel Hockham of War Club, it is a 24 fret, 30” scale with a Bartolini soapbar pickup, Hipshot tuners and bridge, and stainless steel frets. It is of neck-through construction with the neck and centre-piece of the body being made from Meranti and the wings from Mahogany. The finish is a black stain with oil and wax over the top, it is light, perfectly balanced and so easy to play. Sam considers it to be his best bass guitar and it always attracts a lot of attention due to its unique aesthetics and thunderous sound.
“The Sludgemaster”
24.75” scale length, 24-fret neck through construction based on the Jazzmaster body shape. A schaller floating tremolo bridge with Creamery wide-range humbuckers and Gotoh locking tuners. This guitar has a zero-fret for open chord chugging and tuning stability, the stainless steel frets and Wenge fretboard make for a beautifully quick playing guitar. The neck-through construction makes for perfect access and it is perfectly balanced. The neck and centre-piece of the body is made from laminated strips of 100 year old reclaimed Spanish Cedar and the wings are made of Black Limba, finished with oil and wax.
“Baritone Semi-Hollow”
28” scale length, 24-fret glued in neck, this baritone guitar is another unique design, loosely inspired by the ES-339. The neck is made of 100 year old reclaimed Spanish Cedar, the fretboard is Roasted Maple, inlaid and bound with Wenge. The body is made from a single piece of English Yew, hollowed out and backed with Mahogany, finished with oil and wax. The tail piece is made from offcuts of Wenge and Spanish Cedar laminated together. It has Gotoh tuners, and vintage PAF style low output humbuckers alongside a Schaller roller saddle tune-o-matic style bridge and stainless steel frets. Tuned to AEADEA, it sounds and feels unique.
